Great location, stylish rooms, the staff, good breakfast and complimentary wine and cheese. The Gosby House Inn is such a cute accommodation and everything is designed with such a lovingly touch. There was complimentary wine and cheese in the afternoon and the breakfast had great choices including fresh fruit.

We found this a great social forum and very interesting way to learn more about America and American life. The room was charming, the fireplace was very cozy with a good size gas flame, the bed was very comfortable, the patio was very enjoyable in the afternoon. We took our wine and snacks outside to eat. The breakfast was yummy and it was served late enough so we could sleep in a bit. The location is awesome, you can easily walk to lots of shops, restaurants and the beach.

Located in the downtown area of Pacific Grove this hotel provides a small, friendly, family run feel. It is a converted large family home built in the Victorian era so has plenty of character and old fashioned features. Our room, The Jewell, was adapted for mobility use so it had a large wet room. The bed was extremely comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean. The only downside was there was no hanging rail for our clothing, only hat and coat hooks in a cupboard with 4 hangers. As we were staying for 4 nights a facility to hang clothes would have been preferable, although there was a steamer in the room to iron clothes.

I liked the serve yourself wine and appetizers in the evening, but it would have been nice to know what winery the wines came from. Just loved it ....the older style was so appealing and teh complimentary cheese and wine in the late afternoon were wonderful. Breakfast was the best we had in our entire US trip. Historic house with sense of purpose for travellers.
